Southern Helicopter Safari

Earlier this year our helicopter safari program had 15 helicopters and 36 crew members join an amazing adventure exploring the southern coastline of Australia. This safari began in Adelaide South Australia that also seen the layover include the Adelaide Hills and the historic township of Hahndorf.

After the relaxing  few days with no flying we had our morning brief and set off on our adventure that seen us visiting Port Lincoln, Coffin Bay, Steak Bay, Ceduna, Nullarbor Road House, The Great Australian Bight, Border Village, Caiguna, Esperance, Albany, Cape Leeuwin, Margaret River, Busselton, Fremantle and on the return trip we had a wonderful lunch at the Prairie Hotel Parachilna that followed by an amazing stay at Arkaroola in the Flinders Rangers.

Some of the highlights included winery tour in the Adelaide Hills, Hahndorf township, fresh oyster shucking at Coffin Bay, flying along the cliff faces of the Bight, seeing the pristine white sandy beaches of WA,  great food, fantastic weather for the adventure apart from being delayed a few hours due to a sea fog near Streaky Bay, Margaret River tour, the old colonial buildings of Fremantle and flying over the Flinders Rangers and Lake Frome.
